Blog three in a three-part series on the benefits of Oxine® Horticulture: Meet EDIE!

Blog 3 of a 3-part series regarding Oxine® Horticulture (EPA registered sanitizer, disinfectant, and deodorizer) covers irrigation injection in medium to large grow facilities through simple implementation.

In review, Blog 1 and 2 provided a glimpse into the Key Solutions Group (KSG) process of identifying facility needs, reviewed processes and services, and identified smaller grow facility solutions for hard surfaces and/or injecting with an AANE (Automated, Activation, Non-Electric). Again, facilities can start out with the AANE solely for hard surface sanitizing and disinfecting, then by simply adding a pump (Grundfos) and flowmeter (Keyence) to the AANE, they can also inject into irrigation lines for water pathogen control and prevention. Grundfos and Keyence equipment are supplied by KSG and Bio-Cide International (BCI).

In this Blog, we are going to introduce EDIE (Electric Dual Injector – Enclosed), AANE’s big brother. Like AANE, EDIE is designed, and custom built here in the USA at Bio-Cide International (Norman, OK), the manufacturer of Oxine® Horticulture. EDIE is designed to handle medium to high volume irrigation systems and provides concentration flexibility ranging from 1 PPM to 50 PPM in various industries around the world. EDIE will arrive preset from BCI and simply needs installed near main irrigation lines and 110V electric, on a wall or racking, which provides flexibility for an existing facility with limited space.

Many growers have found the pairing of AANE with an EDIE provides the best of both worlds. The AANE provides easy access to activated Oxine® Horticulture for hard surface sanitizing and disinfecting with its spigot design feature making it very easy to fill backpack sprayers, mop buckets, foaming equipment and more. It is not uncommon for larger facilities to have multiple AANE’s placed strategically within a facility, providing convenience and time management savings, while leaving the heavy lifting of high-volume irrigation injection to EDIE.

EDIE Benefits are:

• EDIE has stood the test of time and is in thousands of facilities around the world that use BCI’s proprietary Oxine®.

• Arrives preset from Bio-Cide International.

• Built to last. Manufactured to Bio-Cide Internationals standards right here in the USA.

• Precise high volume concentration delivery.

• On demand activation = more frequent/consistent activation

• Uses less floor space.

• Comes standard with product level alarm sensors.

• Lockable enclosure.
